License-verified before they can bid

Before a contractor sees a single job, we check their CSLB license against the full state registry — the same lookup you could do at cslb.ca.gov, done for you every time. We match on name and ZIP, not just a license number, so nobody can bid on someone else’s credential. Licenses are re-checked, so a lapsed one drops out instead of quietly staying up. Photo proof of the finished work is required before payment releases.

Your money sits in escrow — and you get 72 hours

Payment goes into escrow when you sign, not into anyone’s pocket. The contractor gets nothing until they submit the work as done. From that moment you have 72 hours: confirm and the money releases, or flag a problem and it stays frozen while we review it against the signed agreement, the chat history, and the photos. If you do nothing, the money releases automatically when the 72 hours are up — so if something is wrong, say so inside the window.

The agreement comes before the work

Scope, price, and timeline are signed digitally before anyone picks up a tool. No “we'll figure out the price later.” Disputes get reviewed against what was actually agreed — not against who shouts loudest.
