Describe the job in your own words
No trade jargon, no category guessing. Photos of the leak or the panel do more for an accurate price than a paragraph.

Bids come to you
Local pros in the right trade bid on it, each one licence-checked against the CSLB state registry first. Nothing rings. Nothing arrives at 7am from a number you do not know.

You choose, and you both sign
Pick the bid you want. The contractor sends a contract covering scope, price and timeline, and you both sign it before any work starts.

The work happens, with a record
Completion comes with photos. The contract, the messages and the photos stay on file — so if anything is disputed later, it is judged against what was actually agreed.
Free for homeowners
Posting is free. Bids are free. Hiring is free. No subscription, no charge to unlock a bid, no fee for a job that does not work out — you pay your contractor the price on the contract you both signed, and nothing to us at any point.
We are paid by the contractor, not by you: at most 15% of the job, charged to them when a contract is signed. It is billed to them separately and never comes out of what you pay.
FastHands is for planned work
Every job here ends in a signed contract: you describe the work, bids come back, you agree the scope and the price in writing, and then the work happens. That is a process measured in hours, and it is what makes the rest of this page true.
If water is running through your ceiling right now, do not wait on bids. Call a 24-hour emergency service, or your utility if it is gas or a main. Come back to us for the repair itself — that part is exactly what a signed scope and a fixed price are good for.
