Los Angeles only, on purpose

Lead platforms sell your enquiry to several contractors at once. FastHands brings you to a signed contract.

Quotes are free. We earn only when a contract is signed — and that is when the customer's details unlock. FastHands exists to end a job in a document, not a phone call.

FastHands is for planned work

Every job here ends in a signed contract: you describe the work, bids come back, you agree the scope and the price in writing, and then the work happens. That is a process measured in hours, and it is what makes the rest of this page true.

If water is running through your ceiling right now, do not wait on bids. Call a 24-hour emergency service, or your utility if it is gas or a main. Come back to us for the repair itself — that part is exactly what a signed scope and a fixed price are good for.

Indicative starting points, not quotes. Real bids are priced by the contractor against your actual job — what it involves, how reachable it is, what it needs — and vary widely. Nothing here is an estimate or an offer.

Built to protect both sides of the job.

Licenses checked against the CSLB registry, a contract signed before work starts, and photo proof on completion — the details that make hiring feel calm instead of risky.

Trust

Only licensed, verified pros

California requires a CSLB license for most work over $1,000. We check it against the full state registry — matching on name and ZIP, not just a number — and route licensed work only to licensed pros.

  • CSLB license checked against the state registry
  • Identity matched to the license holder
  • Photo proof before a job can be marked complete

The contract

It ends in a document, not a phone call

FastHands exists to take a job from enquiry to a signed contract. The contractor sends one covering scope, price and timeline; both of you sign it before work starts. That document, the message history and the completion photos stay on file — so anything argued later is argued against what was actually agreed.

  • Scope, price and timeline agreed in writing
  • Signed by both sides before work starts
  • Contract, messages and photos kept together

For contractors

Stop paying for leads — and keep more of what you charge.

No monthly fees. No pay-per-lead. A fee of at most 15%, charged when a customer signs your contract — so you keep at least 85%.

You are arranging work you will answer for. Every job ends in a contract both sides signed before it started, kept with the message history and the completion photos — one job at a time, on one property. There is no portfolio view yet, and we say so rather than implying otherwise.

Frequently asked questions

How are contractors verified?+

Every contractor’s CSLB license is checked against the state registry before they can bid, and re-checked so lapsed licenses drop out. We match on name and ZIP, not just a license number, so a contractor cannot borrow someone else’s license. Photo proof of completed work is required before a job can be marked complete.

How does payment work?+

You pay your contractor directly, on the terms in your signed contract. FastHands never holds your money and never takes a cut of what you pay your contractor. If something goes wrong, flag it: we review the agreement, the chat and the photos, and a contractor who has done this loses access to the platform. We cannot refund you, because we never held your money — but you keep a signed contract, timestamped photos and an unedited chat log, which is exactly what small claims runs on.

How fast will I get bids?+

We have not launched, so we have no delivery times to quote — and we would rather say that than invent one. What the product is built to do is put bids in the app instead of on your phone: the pros you allowed bid, you compare them side by side, and nothing rings in the meantime. We will publish real numbers when there are real jobs behind them.

Can someone come out today? What if it is an emergency?+

FastHands is for planned work. You describe the job, bids come back, and you and the contractor agree scope and price in writing before anyone starts — that takes hours, not minutes. If something is actively flooding, burning, or sparking, call a 24-hour emergency service or your utility rather than waiting on bids. An SOS emergency service and an SOS locksmith service are planned, but neither is built and neither is available today.

What does it cost for homeowners?+

FastHands is completely free for homeowners. Contractors pay a fee of at most 15%, only when a contract is signed — never for leads, never monthly.

What areas do you serve?+

We're launching in Los Angeles. Available in English and Spanish.

Not available yet — what we are building

Planned, not live. Nothing in this list works today, and none of it is part of what you can use. It is here so the direction is public — a plan, not a promise. We are not putting dates on any of it: when one of these is real it will show up in the product, not in this list.

  • SOS emergencyNot available

A fast-response call-out for urgent work that cannot wait on bids and a contract. Not built, and not something you can use today.

  • SOS locksmithNot available

The same fast-response idea for lockouts. Not built, and not something you can use today.

  • Alerts for nearby jobsNot available

Push alerts for contractors when work appears near them.
